The Department of Culture and Digital Transition (DCTN) implements the City’s cultural policy in the fields of performing and visual arts, museums, and libraries. It supports artistic creation and innovation. It preserves and enhances the City’s cultural and scientific heritage. It is responsible for major cultural institutions. It organises and supports large-scale cultural events, facilitates initiatives that stimulate civic debate, and encourages cultural practice through the activities of its institutions and services. Your mission and responsibilities
- Assist and support the director in managing the department and services and in implementing the objectives set by the department’s policy.
- Develop, harmonise, and coordinate administrative and financial processes at the departmental level, in close collaboration with the financial manager and the department’s subsidy manager. Control the quality and compliance of their implementation with the decisions of the Administrative Council and the regulations and laws in force.
- Ensure the administrative and financial management of the department’s directorate and lead the staff of the Administration and Finance unit.
Your profile
- Hold an MBA or an equivalent qualification, as well as at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including team management.
- Master the SAP tool.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams.
- Possess an excellent knowledge of public administrations and the political and cultural environment of Geneva.
- Be able to unite and support change in a demanding context.
- Have excellent analytical and synthesis skills, anticipate issues, and remain solution- and results-oriented.
- Be capable of working both in a strategic context and of independently as well as collectively managing operational tasks.
- Have very good oral and written expression, adapting your communication according to the interlocutors.
