Senior Kubernetes & Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
The UV inkjet systems from our ROCKEN partner are based on the following principles: Swiss quality, high precision, and a robust, modular design with a variety of practical applications. They print on almost all common materials, often also on unusual substrates. All this creates design freedom and competitive advantages for the user.
Role:
Our client is an internationally active technology company with its own development and production in Eastern Switzerland. For the reliable operation of its modern IT platform, the company is looking for an experienced professional with a strong focus on Linux, Kubernetes, and automation. You provide powerful infrastructure for development teams, further develop operational processes, and ensure reproducible workflows with GitOps and declarative configurations.
Responsibilities:
Operation, maintenance, and further development of productive Kubernetes clusters
Maintenance and updating of the on-premises infrastructure as well as provision of a highly available platform for development teams
Building and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines as well as automation of deployments according to the GitOps principle
Support and further development of the physical data centre network infrastructure
Automation of recurring operational tasks, patch management, and network configurations
Implementation of declarative infrastructure configurations and maintenance of version control as a central reference
Qualifications:
Completed computer science degree or a comparable qualification
Several years of practical experience with Linux systems and in the productive operation of Kubernetes
Sound knowledge of modern data centre networks as well as Layer-3 routing and overlay technologies
Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and automation of infrastructure and network components
Confident handling of declarative configurations and version control systems
Careful, structured, and precise working style as well as team spirit and discretion
Good German skills and the ability to communicate in English when necessary
