Project/Planning Manager for Major Construction Project, Basel-Aargau Area

Tasks and Responsibilities

Project/Planning Manager for Major Projects: Taking overall responsibility for the planning and realisation of a major project or site development (new build, conversion or transformation) across all SIA phases within the general planner model.
Interface Management: Coordination and control of the client, architects, specialist engineers (structural engineering, building services, building physics, etc.) as well as contractors to ensure a smooth overall process.
Leadership: Professional leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and management of external planning partners.
Contract and Procurement Management: Management of tenders, awards and contract negotiations with planners and contractors.
Authorities and Stakeholder Contact: Representing the project to authorities, approval bodies and other stakeholders.
Cost and Schedule Management: Leading cost planning, budget control and scheduling throughout the entire project duration, including proactive risk management.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring execution quality through high site presence, progress monitoring and consistent follow-up of defects and pending issues using digital management software.
Sustainability and Digitalisation: Integration of sustainability aspects (SNBS, Minergie or others) as well as application of BIM methods in project execution. Experience with digital management tools/software.

Your Profile

Education: Completed studies as architect, civil engineer or equivalent qualification (FH/ETH); further training in project or construction management (e.g. CAS/MAS Real Estate, SIA regulations) is an advantage.
Professional Experience: At least 5-8 years of experience in project or overall management of building construction or site development projects, including several years in a leadership role. Experience in international projects is an advantage.
Expertise: Sound knowledge of SIA standards (especially SIA 102/103/112), Swiss construction and contract law as well as processes in general planning.
Major Project Experience: Proven experience in managing complex, multi-year projects with high investment volumes and complex project structures. Experience with industrial buildings or data centres is an advantage.
Personality: Strong leadership and negotiation skills, entrepreneurial thinking, assertiveness as well as high social and communication competence.
Working Style: Structured, solution-oriented and resilient, even under high complexity and changing requirements.
Languages: Very good German skills; very good English skills (Level C1 or native speaker).
Mobility: Driving licence category B and willingness to regularly work on site and at other Swiss locations.
