A technically demanding position offers the opportunity to actively further develop a modern and highly available network landscape. We are looking for an experienced individual with strong expertise in enterprise networking, firewalling, and the secure networking of cloud and on-premises environments.
In addition to reliable operation, you will take responsibility for architecture, segmentation, and technical optimisation. You will work cross-departmentally and ensure that new systems and services are securely and cleanly integrated into the existing network landscape.
Responsibilities:
Further develop and operate a powerful enterprise network infrastructure
Be responsible for routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, and WLAN in productive environments
Build and optimise network segmentations as well as secure communication zones
Integrate on-premises systems with public cloud platforms and further develop the hybrid network architecture
Handle incidents and perform root cause analyses for complex network problems
Support internet-facing services such as reverse proxy, application gateway, and WAF, as well as automate and document network processes
Qualifications:
Education or further training in computer science, network or system technology
Several years of professional experience in the operation and design of enterprise networks
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall technologies
Experience with FortiGate/Fortinet; knowledge of Cisco Meraki is an advantage
Good knowledge of network security, segmentation, highly available environments, and hybrid cloud connectivity
Analytical and solution-oriented personality with high personal responsibility as well as fluent German and good English skills
