Role:
In this role, you manage a demanding IT infrastructure in a highly specialised, scientifically oriented environment. You are responsible for the stable and secure operation of the systems and ensure that modern technologies are implemented and further developed efficiently. You apply current IT knowledge purposefully to support complex processes. You ensure that technical procedures run smoothly and thus make an essential contribution to the investigation and documentation of forensic medical issues. With your professional expertise, you actively shape technological advancement in a dynamic and socially relevant field.
Responsibilities:
- You manage the entire IT infrastructure and are responsible for the smooth operation and monitoring of Windows systems, firewalls, Exchange, VMware, storage and backup solutions.
- In this role, you manage user accounts, groups and access rights in Active Directory.
- As an IT system administrator, you create and maintain technical documentation for installation, operation and application.
- You work closely with the central IT department of the university and contribute your expertise to IT projects.
- You actively support 1st and 2nd level support and ensure stable user support.
- In this position, you proactively monitor system landscapes and are responsible for continuous maintenance and optimisation.
Qualifications:
- You have a completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in computer science
- You have solid expertise in server virtualisation (VMware), Windows domain environments and modern storage technologies
- You have very good knowledge in the administration of Microsoft Exchange
- You bring extensive experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS as well as group policies
- PowerShell scripting is your strength, ideally complemented by experience in software packaging and basic Linux knowledge
- Your working style is independent, solution-oriented and characterised by a high service mentality
