Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist as a Structural Engineer to work on diverse and technically demanding building construction projects. You will develop economic structural concepts together with experienced engineers and take on static calculations, dimensioning, and verifications. You will accompany the projects from the preliminary design through detailed planning to the completion of the shell construction and work closely with architects, specialist planners, and executing companies. The position offers both graduates and structural engineers with initial professional experience a long-term development perspective towards project management.
Responsibilities:
Development and further optimisation of technically and economically efficient structural concepts
Execution of static calculations, dimensioning, and load-bearing capacity verifications
Dimensioning of structures and components in reinforced concrete, steel, and other structural materials
Application of relevant SIA standards in the calculation and structural design of frameworks
Creation, processing, and review of structural, formwork, and reinforcement plans
Accompanying projects from the preliminary design through planning and execution to the completion of the shell construction
Coordination of technical interfaces with architects, specialist planners, and executing companies
Review of execution, workshop, and contractor documents regarding static and structural requirements
Handling technical issues during the execution and shell construction phases
Supporting project management in project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and quality control
Contributing to the development of economic and feasible construction solutions
Qualifications:
Completed degree BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering at ETH, FH, university or technical university level
Graduate or initial professional experience in structural design and structural analysis
Solid knowledge in statics, structural dimensioning, and structural engineering
Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards and planning processes is an advantage
Familiarity with common structural analysis, calculation, and CAD software
Very good German skills as well as good English skills
