Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the management of construction management for demanding building, industrial and pharmaceutical projects. You will take overall control of construction execution and coordinate internal project teams, specialist planners, companies and other project participants. In addition to tendering, awarding, contract and cost management, you will be responsible for the overall site management or specialist site management on site, depending on the project. Another focus is on ensuring execution quality, occupational safety and regulatory requirements in a technically demanding project environment.
Responsibilities:
Management and organisation of construction management for demanding building, industrial and pharmaceutical projects
Leadership and coordination of project teams, specialist planners, companies and other project participants
Independent assumption of overall site management and/or specialist site management during the realisation phase
Preparation and handling of tenders, submissions, awards and contracts
Responsibility for construction cost planning, cost control, forecasts and change order management
Preparation and coordination of project, execution and detailed planning in building construction
Development of technical specifications and performance descriptions in coordination with the relevant specialist departments
Management of deadlines, construction processes, quality and interfaces between the trades involved
Conducting and leading construction, coordination and contractor meetings
Monitoring construction execution with regard to compliance with plans, quality and contractual requirements
Definition of project-specific requirements for occupational safety and health protection and control of implementation on site
Support of acceptances, commissioning, defect management and project documentation until completion
Qualifications:
Technical or construction-related training as draftsperson EFZ architecture, architect FH/ETH, construction manager, certified technician HF or specialist engineer
At least 5 years of professional experience in construction management or site management of demanding building projects
Experience with industrial, pharmaceutical or infrastructure buildings is an advantage
Sound knowledge of tendering, awarding, contract law, cost control and construction execution
Knowledge of relevant building regulations in the canton of Valais as well as occupational safety and health protection requirements
Experience in overall site management, specialist site management and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams
Very good German skills, English skills are an advantage
