On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager: Civil Engineering & Urban Drainage for demanding municipal infrastructure and drainage projects. You will be responsible for projects from the concept study through design and tendering to construction execution and advise public and private clients on technical issues. The focus areas include municipal civil engineering, urban drainage, wastewater technology, and interdisciplinary infrastructure planning applying relevant Swiss standards. In the medium term, the position offers the prospect of taking on additional technical responsibility up to department management.
Responsibilities:
Independent management and handling of projects in municipal civil engineering and urban drainage
Support of infrastructure projects from concept and variant studies to realisation
Planning and dimensioning of drainage, sewer, and utility systems
Preparation of design, tender, and execution documents
Application of relevant SIA, VSS, and VSA standards and guidelines
Coordination of interdisciplinary interfaces between civil engineering, environmental technology, construction, and wastewater technology
Management of costs, schedules, quality, and technical project objectives
Technical coordination of project engineers, site managers, and draftspeople
Consultation of municipalities, public clients, and other project stakeholders
Further development and integration of the BIM methodology into project execution
Support in acquisition, offers, and quality assurance within the business unit
Technical supervision and training of team members as well as prospective assumption of department management
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH/ETH/University, preferably specialising in civil engineering or hydraulic engineering
Several years of professional experience in municipal civil engineering, urban drainage, or wastewater technology
Experience in project management across multiple planning and realisation phases
Sound knowledge of Swiss regulations SIA, VSS, and VSA
Experience with specialised calculation, dimensioning, and planning software
Knowledge or practical experience with BIM-based project execution is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
