Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a technically skilled junior professional as Junior Project Manager Rail Construction & Rail Technology for demanding projects in public transport. You will process and coordinate rail infrastructure and track renewal projects for Swiss infrastructure operators and also participate in interdisciplinary international major projects. You will accompany projects from the study through design to execution and gradually develop towards overall project management and specialist service coordination. The position is suitable both for engineers with initial rail experience and for ambitious university graduates interested in rail infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Design and processing of rail infrastructure and rail technology projects
Management or collaboration in track renewal and track construction projects
Support of projects through various planning and implementation phases
Development of studies, variants and technical solution concepts
Coordination of various specialist services and disciplines within rail projects
Collaboration in overall management of interdisciplinary major projects
Coordination with rail infrastructure operators, specialist planners, authorities and other project partners
Support in cost, schedule, quality and project control
Creation and coordination of technical project and planning documents
Development of technically and economically optimised solutions for track and rail infrastructure facilities
Gradual assumption of project management and team leadership responsibilities
Support in acquisition, offers and development of new customer projects
Qualifications:
University degree as civil engineer, transport engineer, environmental engineer or comparable technical education
Suitable for career starters as well as candidates with initial experience in rail construction or rail infrastructure planning
Initial knowledge in design, execution or project management of rail projects is an advantage
Knowledge in track construction, track or rail technology is an advantage
Interest in interdisciplinary and partly international infrastructure projects
Initial experience in coordination or leadership of project teams is an advantage
Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
