Network and Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Secure and clean networks do not happen by chance but through thoughtful architecture. In the role of Network and Infrastructure Engineer, you take responsibility for a grown infrastructure and technically bring it to the next level. The focus is on segmentation, firewall security, and the operation of Microsoft 365 (M365) as well as virtualised servers. You are not only allowed to observe new technologies but also to introduce them yourself.
Responsibilities:
You ensure stable operation of the network landscape and continuously harden it.
In addition, you design VLAN structures, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust and roll them out.
You keep an eye on firewall rules, VPN access, policies, and IDS/IPS and optimise them.
You administer cloud services, directory services, and server virtualisation and expand them.
In tricky disruptions in the infrastructure and security environment, you take over as the last escalation level.
Furthermore, you actively shape projects on network access control, SD-WAN, and automation.
Qualifications:
A technical basic education in IT or equivalent practical experience forms your basis.
You move with great confidence in the network and security environment.
Routing, switching, and VLAN design are part of your daily craft.
In addition, you have experience with FortiGate firewalls, preferably complemented by a vendor certification.
You confidently use Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Hyper-V, and cloud services.
Moreover, you convince with structured thinking, initiative, and enthusiasm for technical further development.
