For our client, quartal, to strengthen their team and manage varied and demanding architectural projects in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a:

For our client quartal, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Site Manager. Given the size of the office, the appointed person will, even in a project manager role, also be required to undertake site management tasks.
Tasks / Responsibilities
Manage projects from execution preparation to handover, ensuring cost, schedule and quality monitoring
Organise and supervise construction sites: setup, safety, logistics and coordination of participants
Coordinate all project stakeholders: clients, architects, engineers, contractors and specialised consultants
Maintain site diaries and meetings, draft minutes and verify work compliance with plans
Master calls for tenders, bids, awards, measurements and accounts
Organise handovers at all levels, monitor defect rectifications and warranty work
Depending on profile: structure and plan projects across all disciplines — content, costs, schedules, quality, risks and resources — and ensure follow-up until objectives are met
Profile
Higher education in construction: certified site manager / federal diploma, EPF/HES architect or equivalent qualification
(An initial background as a building draughtsperson, supplemented by site management training, is a significant asset.)Minimum 5 years proven experience in site management and/or construction project management, with demonstrated autonomous project management experience, ideally in Switzerland
Experience managing projects of significant size and complexity, from execution preparation to handover
Experience in developing construction details
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, SIA standards and applicable Swiss construction regulations
Mastery of calls for tenders as well as cost, schedule and quality control during execution
Autonomy, rigour, sense of responsibility, excellent communication and negotiation skills
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written; any other language is an asset
