The general practice Praxis à la Gare, centrally located at Biel station square in the MEDIN health centre, serves a catchment area of 70,000 residents and 60,000 commuters.

In addition to primary care including a large laboratory and conventional X-rays, our practice offers quick access to a variety of general practitioner services and emergency care (walk-in).

Thanks to our close cooperation with the other MEDIN units on site, we guarantee comprehensive medical care. Our multilingual general practitioners also use an internal network to arrange specialist treatments such as nutritional counselling, physiotherapy, radiology, gynaecology or cardiology directly in the same building if required.

Your tasks – our position

• Reception, care and administrative admission of our patients
• Appointment scheduling and coordination of consultations
• Ensuring a friendly and professional patient reception
• Support with administrative tasks
• Performing medical tasks such as blood sampling, infusions, dressing changes, lung function tests and other diagnostic examinations
• Performing ECGs, 24-hour blood pressure measurements and digital X-rays
• Working in the practice's own laboratory including sample collection and preparation of external analyses
• Managing the practice pharmacy including ordering and stock management
• Co-responsibility for smooth and efficient practice operations

Your skills – our requirements

• Completed training as a Medical Practice Assistant EFZ or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in a medical practice or group practice is an advantage
• Very good language skills in German or French with good knowledge of the other language
• Solid computer skills (experience with the practice software CuraMed is an advantage)
• Enjoyment in dealing with patients and working in a team
• Independent, structured and reliable working style
• Discretion, sense of responsibility, empathy and resilience
