Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management and realisation of demanding residential construction projects in a design-oriented architectural office. You will accompany the further development of award-winning competition designs through to construction implementation and combine high architectural standards with sound experience in execution planning. The focus is on project planning, constructive detail development, coordination of specialist planners, and ensuring design quality. The position combines architectural design, technical project responsibility, and residential construction with independent design opportunities in a manageable project team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of demanding residential construction projects from the further development of the design through project planning to realisation

• Transforming successful architectural competitions into approval- and execution-ready construction projects while preserving the original design concept

• Processing and coordination of relevant SIA service phases with a focus on construction project, approval procedures, and execution planning

• Development and elaboration of architectural and constructive detail solutions for façades, building envelopes, interiors, and structural connections

• Creation and coordination of project, building application, and execution plans as well as processing digital building models with CAD

• Professional coordination of draftspeople, specialist planners, and external experts to align design and technical requirements

• Coordination with clients, authorities, and contractors during project planning and construction realisation

• Ensuring architectural quality in materialisation, construction, and execution of demanding residential buildings

• Participation in cost, schedule, and quality control as well as reviewing the impact of project changes on design and feasibility

• Support during construction execution including resolving constructive issues, reviewing contractor documents, and processing plan adjustments

• Coordination and quality assurance of planning documents considering relevant SIA standards, building regulations, and project-specific requirements

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree FH or ETH or equivalent recognised university degree

• Several years of professional experience in project planning and execution planning, preferably in demanding residential construction projects in Switzerland

• Experience in project management or independent coordination of architectural projects across several SIA service phases

• Sound knowledge in architectural design, constructive detail planning, and implementation of architecturally demanding construction projects

• Good CAD skills, ideally in Archicad, as well as experience in digital architecture and building model planning

• Knowledge of Swiss building regulations and relevant SIA standards as well as experience working with specialist planners and contractors

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project coordination, technical documentation, and communication with clients and authorities
