Construction Project Manager (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the independent construction project management of new build, conversion and renovation projects. You will manage demanding construction projects through all relevant project phases and bear responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and economic project success. In addition to tendering, awarding and contract management, you will lead contractors and specialist planners and coordinate the operational implementation on site. The position combines general planning, construction management and construction economics with a consistently digital and process-oriented project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and control of new build, conversion and renovation projects from planning to acceptance and handover

• Overall responsibility for cost, schedule and quality management as well as ongoing monitoring of the economic project success

• Creation, coordination and updating of project, planning, awarding and construction schedules

• Management of the entire tendering and submission process including pricing, offer comparison and award recommendations

• Negotiation, creation and administration of contracts for work as well as control of amendments and contractual contractor services

• Leadership and coordination of contractors, specialist planners and other project participants during planning and realisation

• Assumption of local site management as well as monitoring of construction processes, execution quality and work schedules

• Leadership and minute-taking of construction, planning and coordination meetings as well as consistent management of pending issues and decisions

• Central contact person for clients, investors, authorities, architects and specialist planners

• Conducting cost controls, invoice and amendment checks as well as preparation of ongoing cost forecasts

• Preparation of project reports, site documentation and decision-making bases for clients and investors

• Further development of digital construction management processes, standards and paperless workflows to optimise project execution

Qualifications:

• Training as draftsman EFZ specialising in architecture, certified construction manager, certified technician HF construction planning/architecture, architect FH/ETH or civil engineer FH/ETH

• Professional experience in project and construction management of building construction projects; candidates undergoing relevant further training are also possible

• Knowledge in tendering, awarding, contract management, cost control and site management

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction practice and contractual basics

• Confident use of Microsoft 365; knowledge of Messerli construction administration and MS Project is an advantage

• Fluent German skills in spoken and written form as well as pronounced digital user competence

• Valid category B driving licence
