Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a Civil Engineer FH/ETH as Project Manager for the independent handling of diverse engineering and infrastructure projects in the canton of Aargau. Depending on your professional focus, you will take on tasks in structural engineering, civil and road construction, urban water management, river engineering, or GEP processing. You will accompany projects from planning through tendering and construction management to completion and be responsible for professional, cost, and deadline-compliant execution. The position also offers a long-term development perspective towards deputy department head or department head.
Responsibilities:
Independent planning and management of construction and infrastructure projects from conception to realisation
Handling projects in structural engineering, civil engineering, road construction and/or urban water management
Planning and processing of drainage, utility, and development projects
Participation in river engineering, hydraulic engineering, and flood protection projects according to the professional focus
Processing and further development of General Drainage Plans (GEP) and associated measures
Preparation of project, tender, and execution documents as well as technical reports and calculations
Assuming construction management including cost, schedule, quality, and execution control
Responsibility for economic and timely contract execution as well as ongoing project controlling
Interdisciplinary coordination with specialist planners, authorities, municipalities, contractors, and other project participants
Technical consultation of public and private clients as well as preparation of decision-making bases
Conducting tenders, awards, acceptances, and project completions
Prospective assumption of professional and personnel leadership responsibilities within an engineering department
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH/ETH or comparable higher technical qualification
Professional experience in at least one of the areas structural engineering, civil/road construction, urban water management, river engineering or GEP
Experience in planning and construction management of Swiss construction or infrastructure projects
Sound knowledge of relevant SIA standards, VSS guidelines, and Swiss construction regulations
Experience in project management, tendering, and cost/schedule control
Good German language skills spoken and written
Valid Category B driving licence
