As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will design modern cloud platforms with a clear focus on Microsoft Azure. Other public cloud environments such as AWS and Google Cloud are also part of the playing field. Automation, security, and economical operation are central. You can expect a technically demanding environment with plenty of creative freedom and short decision-making paths.
Responsibilities:
You drive the further development of cloud services and accompany solutions from evaluation to implementation.
You ensure stable and secure operation of the platforms, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Furthermore, you automate deployment and operation with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and CI/CD.
You consistently implement requirements from security and governance, such as identity, network, hardening, as well as backup and recovery.
In addition, you work closely with architecture, security, and application management in cross-departmental projects.
You also take on 3rd-level support for your services and keep the documentation up to date.
Qualifications:
You have a degree or studies in computer science or a comparable qualification with solid practical experience.
Profound knowledge of Microsoft Azure distinguishes you; experience with AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.
You have several years of experience in engineering and operating cloud services.
You confidently use Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, and Python, as well as CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.
Furthermore, you have a good understanding of network, identity, and security topics as well as backup and recovery.
You communicate fluently in German, are confident in English, and are enthusiastic about new technologies. Cloud certifications are welcome.
