For a Manor House located on the Vaud Riviera, in the heart of a privileged environment, we are looking for an experienced gardener-landscaper who will know how to take care of an estate with exacting standards, aesthetic sense and great discretion.
Your future responsibilities:
- You will be the guardian of the estate's landscape identity and will ensure, throughout the seasons, to maintain impeccable, elegant exteriors perfectly integrated with the architecture and spirit of the property.
- You will plan and organise the maintenance of all landscaped areas: lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees, greenhouses, vegetable gardens and ornamental spaces.
- You will anticipate the garden's needs throughout the seasons and propose the necessary interventions to sustainably preserve its balance, beauty and harmony.
- You will establish an annual work schedule and adapt interventions according to climatic conditions, flowering periods and the specific requirements of each area.
- You will ensure precision mowing and maintain the impeccable quality of the lawns.
- You will carry out the aesthetic and technical pruning of hedges, shrubs and ornamental plants, respecting their natural development and the estate's landscape identity.
- You will maintain flower beds and plantations, ensure their fertilisation and provide the necessary care for their perfect health.
- You will monitor the health status of plants, identify any diseases or pests and implement appropriate measures.
- You will ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of greenhouses and cultivation areas.
- You will organise and maintain the vegetable garden, plan crops and seasonal rotations and ensure the quality of the harvests.
- You will prepare seasonal plantings and flowering so that the estate retains its elegance and character throughout the year.
- You may also propose new plantings or landscape improvements, in perfect harmony with the property's aesthetics and history.
- You will organise your interventions according to the estate's lifestyle, the presence of owners, guests, receptions and various events held on the property.
- You will coordinate specialised external contractors when their intervention is necessary.
- You will establish a precise maintenance programme and ensure methodical follow-up of all interventions carried out on the estate.
- You will anticipate seasonal work, equipment needs, plant orders, soil amendments and various supplies necessary for the estate's smooth operation.

Your profile:
- You are an experienced gardener-landscaper, passionate about your profession and the world of exceptional gardens.
- You have proven experience within private properties, prestigious estates or high-end gardens.
- You possess excellent knowledge of plants, their needs and their development throughout the seasons.
- You are fully comfortable with pruning, mowing, planting, fertilising and caring for trees and shrubs.
- You are capable of maintaining and monitoring greenhouses, vegetable gardens, rose gardens, orchards and fruit trees.
- You are familiar with automatic irrigation systems and the equipment necessary for estate maintenance.
- You are organised, methodical and autonomous, with an excellent ability to plan and anticipate seasonal work.
- You are recognised for your observational skills, precision and attention to detail.
- You are proactive and possess a true aesthetic sense, essential for preserving the estate's harmony.
- You are versatile, responsive and able to take initiatives while respecting the owners' expectations.
- You are accustomed to working in coordination with household staff and various specialised contractors.
- You are discreet, loyal and trustworthy, with a perfect understanding of the requirements linked to a prestigious private residence.
- You are particularly attentive to confidentiality and the absolute respect of the owners' privacy.
- You are a stable, committed and careful person, wishing to engage in a long-term collaboration.
- You are finally driven by a genuine desire to preserve, enhance and valorise the property's landscaped heritage.
- You are mobile and flexible and willing to travel occasionally to other properties and sites located in the canton of Fribourg.
- You hold a valid driving licence, essential for the role.
- You are available to work on different sites depending on needs and seasonal work.
- A service van will be provided to you to ensure your professional travel and the transport of equipment necessary for various interventions.
