Role:
As a Cloud Security Platform Engineer, you work in the cloud platform team and are responsible for the secure operation and expansion of an Azure environment. Together with a central cyber security team, you define technical protective measures and implement them productively. Landing zones, network segmentation, identity concepts, and automated controls shape your daily work. You are attracted by complex dependencies and an agile environment where decisions are made close to engineering.
Responsibilities:
You translate security requirements into concrete configurations, policies, and baselines for the cloud platform.
You systematically analyse cyber risks for the platform and workloads and derive technical countermeasures.
You implement preventive controls and embed them in pipelines and automated deployments.
Furthermore, you support projects in determining protection requirements and design appropriate security solutions.
You update security concepts and standards and keep them technically current.
Additionally, you document architectural decisions and share your knowledge with development teams.
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in computer science or cyber security, complemented by relevant further training.
You can demonstrate several years of professional experience in security-related roles with a focus on cloud.
You are familiar with cloud services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS as well as the associated security services.
Additionally, you have experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Git and Terraform as well as in building CI/CD pipelines.
Offensive methods such as security audits, penetration testing, or CTFs are part of your toolkit. Kubernetes or identity and access management (IAM) deepen your profile.
You are also confident with standards such as ISO/IEC 270xx or NIST and communicate fluently and confidently in both German and English, orally and in writing.
