Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Construction Management / Building Construction to lead demanding construction projects in Switzerland. You will take overall control of the projects from planning and detailed planning to realisation, handover, and warranty work. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate clients, architects, specialist planners, authorities, and contractors. The focus is on professional cost, schedule, and quality management as well as the technically and economically successful implementation of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Independent project management of demanding building construction projects across multiple planning and realisation phases
Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project and planning teams
Responsibility for controlling and monitoring costs, schedules, quality, and project objectives
Coordination of interfaces between clients, architecture, specialist planning, authorities, and contractors
Management and supervision of planning, detailed planning, and execution processes
Development and maintenance of project schedules, cost forecasts, project budgets, and controlling instruments
Monitoring of plan deliveries, approvals, project changes, and claims
Leading and moderating project, planning, and coordination meetings including decision and action item management
Preparation and conduct of negotiations with clients, planners, contractors, and other project partners
Ensuring coordinated and executable detailed and construction planning as well as early clarification of technical interfaces
Preparation of project reports, decision bases, status reports, and management reporting
Ensuring project execution in accordance with relevant SIA standards, contractual bases, and Swiss construction processes
Qualifications:
Education as FH/ETH Architect, FH/ETH Civil Engineer, or certified HF Technician in Construction Planning or comparable technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in project management and construction management of building projects
Further training in project management or construction management or proven practical project management experience
Sound knowledge of Swiss planning, detailed planning, and construction processes
Experience in cost, schedule, quality, and project controlling as well as in leading project teams
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss contractual bases
Very good German language skills spoken and written
