The Fribourg Detention Facility (EDFR) brings together the penitentiary structures of the canton of Fribourg. It has the status of a public law entity and legal personality. It is administratively attached to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport (DSJS), under the high supervision of the State Council. The Facility ensures the custody, accommodation, care and treatment of detainees entrusted to it and participates in achieving the objectives assigned to the execution of custodial sentences and measures.

- Work within market gardening crops
- Carry out various tasks on a farm
- Perform different tasks of a farm operation
- Provide a guard service and maintain constant supervision of detainees, taking into account the various detention regimes
- Manage and organise internal and external movements
- Contribute to the resocialisation of detainees by having a positive influence on them
- Enforce discipline, order and security among detainees
- Apply and enforce the regulations and instructions in force
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in market gardening, or equivalent training, with several years of professional experience in market gardening production
- Possession of the federal detention officer certificate is an advantage
- Skills in using machinery and equipment are an advantage
- Good physical and mental condition, as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Sense of interpersonal relations, communication and conflict management
- Willingness to work shifts (irregular working hours, including Saturdays and Sundays)
- Willingness to intervene outside working hours in cases of force majeure
- Good knowledge of computer tools (MS Office)
- Clean debt collection and criminal record extracts
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language
