Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced and responsible individual to independently lead demanding architecture and building construction projects in Central Switzerland. You will accompany diverse construction projects from initial project development through execution and detailed planning to structural completion. The focus is on coordinating interdisciplinary planning teams, developing constructive and aesthetically high-quality solutions, and professionally managing new build and revitalisation projects. The position combines solid architecture and project management expertise, modern CAD and BIM planning methods, and independent project management with the opportunity to actively shape sustainable and innovative construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Independent leadership and accompaniment of demanding building construction projects from the initial project idea through planning to execution and structural completion
Development and processing of architectural and project development concepts for new builds, conversions, and innovative revitalisation projects
Responsibility for project planning and design across relevant SIA service phases including organisation, control, and monitoring of planning processes
Creation and coordination of construction project, execution, detailed, and working plans considering architectural, constructive, and economic requirements
Professional leadership and coordination of internal draftspeople and project staff as well as ensuring structured and quality-oriented project processing
Coordination and management of external specialist planners, experts, and site managers to ensure interdisciplinary coordinated planning and execution
Development and implementation of technically precise and economically feasible building construction solutions with special attention to construction, materialisation, and detail quality
Ensuring compliance with relevant Swiss building laws, SIA standards, and project-specific quality requirements during planning and realisation
Monitoring project deadlines, planning costs, and resources as well as early identification and handling of technical and organisational project risks
Application and further development of digital CAD and BIM planning processes to improve planning quality and interdisciplinary collaboration
Organisation and leadership of planning and coordination meetings as well as ongoing alignment with clients, authorities, and other project participants
Professional support of construction execution in close cooperation with site management including technical detail clarifications, plan adjustments, and quality assurance until project completion
Qualifications:
Completed architecture studies at FH or ETH or a comparable recognised higher education; prior vocational training as a draftsman/woman EFZ specialising in architecture is an advantage
Several years of professional experience as an architect in Switzerland with solid practice in project planning, execution, and detailed planning of demanding building construction projects
Experience in independent project management of medium-sized construction projects as well as coordination of specialist planners, site managers, and internal planning teams is an advantage
Good knowledge of Swiss building legislation, relevant SIA standards, and construction planning standards as well as a pronounced architectural and constructive understanding
Confident handling of common CAD applications as well as interest in BIM methodology, digital building modelling, and further development of modern planning processes
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with pronounced interconnected thinking, sense of responsibility, initiative, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for professional project communication as well as communication skills, teamwork, confident appearance, and a category B driving licence
