Java Enterprise Developer (m/f/d)

The IT department at our partner consists of application development and system technology. Around 30 dedicated employees work in both areas. The goal is to provide high-quality services for the members, customers, and sister companies (national and international) of our partner. To meet this task in the future, the system landscape is continuously changed and adapted to the latest requirements. Additionally, a multi-year restructuring of the system architecture and the corresponding applications is underway.

Responsibilities:
You design and develop scalable business applications using Java and established frameworks for modern enterprise software.
You translate business needs into technical solutions, assess architectural options, and accompany new features from the initial idea to integration into productive operation.
You develop interfaces between different applications and ensure reliable data exchange via suitable integration and messaging technologies.
You analyse error patterns and technical dependencies, develop specifications, and ensure long-term maintainability of systems through thorough documentation.
You participate in technical decisions, coordinate closely with your team, and continuously improve existing applications in terms of quality, stability, and extensibility.
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in computer science or an equivalent professional qualification.
You have at least five years of practical experience in professional Java development and are well versed in object-oriented design principles.
You possess solid knowledge of Spring, JPA, and Hibernate and understand modern software architectures and their application in the enterprise environment.
You are familiar with integration platforms and messaging solutions such as Apache Camel, Red Hat Fuse, or Kafka and have worked with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server.
You have knowledge of React and web technologies HTML and CSS, work independently and in a structured manner, and communicate confidently in German.
