Role:

A cloud platform is only as strong as its architecture. As a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer, you shape exactly this foundation and drive the technical development of a comprehensive Microsoft Azure environment forward. With clear standards and well-founded architectural decisions, you set the guardrails. You consistently advance automation with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). In complex disruptions, you keep an overview and take on the technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

• You automate the deployment and configuration of cloud resources with PowerShell, Terraform, and Bicep and establish standardised deployment processes.

• You design scalable, highly available, and secure architectures for networking, identity, storage, and compute.

• You develop identity and access concepts with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and managed identities, as well as networks with peering, private endpoints, routing, and firewalling.

• Furthermore, you design landing zones and define governance, security, and structural standards for subscriptions and resources.

• Additionally, you are responsible for monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery concepts for business-critical systems.

• You also optimise Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 and evaluate new cloud technologies in proof of concepts.

Qualifications:

• You bring many years of experience in cloud and Microsoft infrastructure engineering and know complex cloud environments in detail.

• You are confident with network topics such as virtual networks, private DNS, VPN, and firewall concepts.

• You have solid know-how in Entra ID, RBAC, app registrations, and enterprise applications.

• Infrastructure as Code is part of your daily routine. You work proficiently with Terraform and/or Bicep and automate complex processes with PowerShell.

• Furthermore, you have practical experience with landing zones, cloud governance, and observability using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

• You are also well versed in Windows Server and hybrid infrastructures and confidently analyse dependencies up to Microsoft 365.
