Introduction

As an Editor, your role will be to transform regulatory and legal material into clear, structured and accessible texts, intended notably for e-learning training modules.

You will work closely with our compliance experts, who will provide you with their professional expertise. Your responsibility will be to understand the material, identify the essential content and translate it into simple, precise and educational language.

The goal is not to oversimplify the regulation, but to enable each learner to quickly understand what they need to know, why it is important and how to apply it in their professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Analyse regulatory texts, procedures and documents related to banking and financial compliance.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the topics covered and identify key points.
• Write and structure texts intended for training.
• Transform complex concepts into clear and accessible explanations.
• Illustrate regulatory notions with concrete examples and professional situations.
• Write examples, case studies and questions to verify learners’ understanding.
• Proofread, improve and update existing content.
• Incorporate comments and validations from compliance experts.
• Check the quality of finished products.
• Constantly strive to find the right balance between simplicity, regulatory accuracy and educational effectiveness.

The profile we are looking for

Above all, we are looking for someone who enjoys understanding complex topics and explaining them simply.

You are particularly comfortable with writing and care about finding the right word. You know how to distinguish essential information from secondary detail and structure content to facilitate understanding and memorisation.

You could be a journalist, editor, instructional designer, lawyer, communicator or have equivalent training and experience.

• Excellent command of written French.
• Excellent writing and summarising skills.
• Strong ability to popularise complex content.
• Ability to structure information logically and pedagogically.
• Very good understanding of the needs of a non-specialist audience.
• Rigour and particular attention to the accuracy of terms and information.
• Ability to quickly understand new material and ask the right questions to experts.
• Critical thinking and ability to identify possible ambiguities or inconsistencies in content.
• Passion for pedagogy and knowledge transfer.
• Ease in working with subject matter experts.
• Previous experience in writing or journalism (minimum 3 years).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Assets

• Training or experience in journalism, communication, writing, law, economics, finance or educational sciences.
• Experience writing content intended for professional audiences.

You do not need to be an expert in compliance fields. However, you must be able to understand technical material and then present it clearly and understandably.

Your ability to simplify will be essential, but always with a fundamental requirement: Make the material easier to understand without changing its meaning.
