System Engineer & IT Operations (m/f/d)
Our partner is an established IT service company in the field of Managed Cloud & Outsourcing Services. They operate several hundred servers in their own data centres and offer state-of-the-art IT service solutions in the areas of storage, backup, networking, archiving, security, etc.
The implementation of IT projects with subsequent operation and maintenance requires profound expertise, extensive experience, process mastery, creativity, and absolute reliability. The demanding clientele of our partner expects innovative IT services and solutions with the highest availability and security.
Role:
Do you want to not only operate complex IT infrastructures but actively optimise and further develop them? In this role, you take technical responsibility for your own customer portfolio, analyse complex faults, and develop sustainable solutions. You combine solid system engineering with automation, standardisation, and the targeted use of new technologies, including AI.
Responsibilities:
Assuming full technical responsibility for your own customer portfolio and ensuring a stable and high-performance IT landscape.
Analysing and resolving complex incidents, service requests, and changes, as well as conducting systematic fault analyses across various infrastructure components.
Supporting and further developing Microsoft 365, Azure, and other infrastructure components in close coordination with engineering and service management.
Identifying optimisation opportunities and implementing standardisations, automations, and AI-supported solutions to increase efficiency in IT operations.
Participating in technical IT projects, introducing new services, and occasional on-site assignments directly with customers.
Qualifications:
Completed training in IT EFZ, ideally in system technology or platform development.
Several years of professional experience in IT operations or system engineering with a solid understanding of complex IT infrastructures.
Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern infrastructure technologies, as well as experience in demanding troubleshooting.
Initial practical experience with automation, scripting, standardisation, or the use of AI in the IT environment.
Strong customer orientation, independent and structured working style, clear communication, very good German skills, good English skills, and a category B driving licence.
