Role:

Good security arises where technology and analysis come together. As a Network Security Engineer, you combine both and ensure reliable protection in various customer environments within the scope of managed security services. You work with modern solutions around Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), EDR/XDR, and network security. Instead of theory, you will experience real practice, as you analyse events, accompany incidents, and drive new technologies forward. Your expertise grows with every project.

Responsibilities:

• You configure and operate web application firewalls, network and cloud firewalls, as well as MFA solutions, and define appropriate security policies.

• You participate in the analysis of security incidents and initiate technical countermeasures.

• You monitor security events and alerts, evaluate logs from endpoint, server, and network systems, and classify anomalies.

• Furthermore, you conduct vulnerability scans and assess the identified weaknesses.

• You continuously optimise existing SIEM and log management solutions and participate in rollouts, changes, and proof of concepts.

• Additionally, you document configurations, systems, and incidents comprehensibly.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of experience in cyber security engineering or security operations.

• Solid know-how in endpoint, cloud, network, and system security distinguishes you, as well as sound knowledge of Linux and Windows security.

• Practical experience with enterprise firewalls and detection technologies such as XDR, NDR, or EDR is part of your toolkit.

• You correlate security events across various log sources and have already analysed and handled incidents.

• Furthermore, you are familiar with vulnerability management and understand identity and access concepts such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based access.

• You also master protocols like DNS, TLS, TCP/IP, and HTTP/S and automate tasks with Bash or Python.
