Business Applications Manager (m/f/d)

Do you want not only to manage systems but also to strategically shape the further development of a modern application landscape and thus actively drive the digitalisation of business processes? In this role, you take responsibility for central business applications and ensure their reliable, secure, and efficient operation. You lead exciting IT projects and integrate new requirements in a structured manner into the existing application landscape. You also act as a central interface between the specialist departments, external partners, and ICT, coordinating collaboration across all stakeholders. With your commitment and expertise, you shape the continuous development of the entire application landscape.
Responsibilities:
You further develop the application landscape and digitalise business processes with appropriate solutions.
You manage IT and transformation projects including budget, resources, and relevant internal as well as external participants.
You ensure reliable and protected operation of business systems and coordinate changes, releases, and maintenance cycles.
You handle complex support cases at 2nd and 3rd level and manage external providers as well as software partners.
You ensure high data quality, improve system integrations, and support security, data protection, and compliance topics.
Qualifications:
You have completed training or studies in computer science, business informatics, or a related field.
You bring several years of experience in application management as well as in managing IT projects.
You are familiar with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, and Power BI and ideally have experience with ERP solutions.
You have a good technical understanding of networks, servers, information security, data protection, as well as supplier and licensing issues.
You work analytically, structured, and service-oriented, communicate convincingly, and enjoy digitalisation and interdisciplinary collaboration; very good German and good to very good English are required.
