Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Structural Engineering Civil Engineering for demanding new build, conversion and refurbishment projects. You develop and dimension structural concepts for projects in building and civil engineering as well as for infrastructure, industrial and energy facilities and accompany these from planning to realisation. In addition to structural analysis, reinforced concrete, steel and timber construction, you also handle interfaces with geotechnics, excavation and foundation engineering. The position combines demanding structural engineering with project management, BIM-based planning and technical leadership.
Responsibilities:
Management of demanding structural and civil engineering projects from planning to realisation and commissioning
Development and optimisation of structural concepts for new builds, conversions and refurbishments
Planning and dimensioning of structures in reinforced concrete, steel and timber construction
Execution and technical review of structural calculations and FEM analyses
Handling of geotechnical issues as well as planning of excavations, foundations and ground stabilisations
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and technical project objectives
Technical leadership and coordination of civil engineers, designers and other project participants
Interdisciplinary collaboration with architecture, geotechnics, infrastructure planning and other disciplines
Digital planning and coordination using BIM, 3D models and BIM2Field methods
Preparation and review of project, tender and execution documents
Technical consulting of clients, architectural offices and other planning partners
Support in acquisition, tender processing and client care
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer FH/ETH/TU, preferably with a specialisation in structural engineering / constructive civil engineering
Several years of professional experience in structural engineering and project management across multiple SIA project phases
Sound knowledge in structural analysis, reinforced concrete, steel and/or timber construction as well as in geotechnics and foundation engineering
Practical experience with FEM calculation software, for example SOFiSTiK, AxisVM or CUBUS
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards as well as Swiss planning and construction processes
Experience with BIM, 3D coordination and digital structural planning
Very good German language skills spoken and written
