Role:

Good security arises where clean technology meets sharp analysis. This is exactly where your work as an IT Security Engineer (Managed Services) begins. You manage security services for various clients and ensure that protection mechanisms not only run but are effective. Logs, alerts, and vulnerabilities provide you with clues from which you derive concrete measures. You grow with every project and bring your experience to new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• You configure and operate network and cloud firewalls, web application firewalls, as well as solutions for XDR, EDR, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

• You analyse logs from networks, endpoints, servers, and security systems and classify suspicious alerts.

• Furthermore, you specifically develop existing platforms for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and log management.

• You assist in analysing security incidents and initiate technical countermeasures.

• You conduct vulnerability scans, assess the findings, and participate in rollouts, changes, and security projects.

• Additionally, you test new technologies in proof of concepts and document systems, configurations, and incidents comprehensibly.

Qualifications:

• You bring several years of experience in cyber security engineering or security operations, ideally at least 3 years.

• A broad knowledge of network, endpoint, cloud, and system security forms your foundation, including Windows and Linux.

• You have practical experience with enterprise and cloud firewalls, WAFs, as well as EDR, XDR, or NDR technologies.

• Furthermore, you understand protocols such as DNS, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, and TLS as well as identity and access concepts with MFA and role models.

• You correlate events from various log sources into a coherent picture and remain structured and solution-oriented even during incidents.

• Additionally, you are familiar with vulnerability management and automate recurring tasks with Bash or Python.
