A cantonal public law institution, the CNP is tasked with leading the health policy of the canton of Neuchâtel in the field of mental health, in collaboration with partner institutions. The CNP aims to rehabilitate patients suffering from mental disorders through the adoption of an integrated and community psychiatry model; it implements public policies for the promotion and prevention of mental health; it acts as a reference centre in the field of professional training and research in psychiatry.

The Childhood and Adolescence Department is seeking, for its outpatient service within the CPCL consultation (Neuchatel), a

Chief Clinical Doctor or Deputy Chief Clinical Doctor - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

You hold a Swiss medical diploma or one recognised by MEBEKO. You have obtained the FMH title in psychiatry-psychotherapy or are close to it, and wish to join a recognised institution specialised in mental health.

As part of your role you will be expected to:

o develop a direct and continuous clinical practice with patients, in close collaboration with other members of the unit

o supervise the daily work of the multidisciplinary team and particularly that of the assistant doctors

o promote inter-institutional collaboration

o participate in outpatient on-call duty, as first or second line depending on the presence or absence of the FMH title

o participate in the teaching provided by the unit

o supervise the drafting of reports required by insurance bodies, guardianship and judicial authorities, and the drafting of any other medical report

The skills required for this position are as follows:

o have at least 2 years of experience in hospital and/or outpatient psychiatry

o have an interdisciplinary team and network working spirit

o demonstrate leadership and have a sense of planning

o be capable of making decisions
