Network Security Engineer (m/f/d)

This position focuses on the secure operation and continuous development of firewall and security environments. In addition to administration and monitoring, participation in IT security projects at customers is part of the varied range of tasks.
Responsibilities:
You install, configure, and administer firewall and IT security solutions.
You manage firewall rules, security policies, and VPN connections and continuously optimise them.
You monitor security-relevant alerts and analyse log data to detect anomalies at an early stage.
You perform updates and maintenance work and implement appropriate measures for system hardening.
You contribute to the planning and implementation of IT security projects at customers.
Qualifications:
You have experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of firewall and IT security solutions.
You possess good knowledge of firewall rule sets, NAT, VPN, network zones, and security policies.
You have experience in log analysis, alarm handling, and security-relevant documentation.
You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
You enjoy direct customer contact and communicate professionally.
You have very good German skills as well as good French and/or Italian skills.
You hold a category B driving licence.
You are willing to undertake customer assignments throughout Switzerland.
