ZurichYour Tasks
- You advise and support individuals seeking advice in complex cases related to racist discrimination/xenophobia (main focus).
- As needed/indicated, you intervene with the discriminating actors (individuals, institutions), e.g. in writing, by phone or in person.
- You document case-related work in the internal data collection system as well as for the statistics of the national monitoring of the counselling network for victims of racism.
- You present the services and insights from ZüRAS casework to external specialist agencies, committees, organisations.
- You collaborate with internal and external networks, working groups and expert committees related to the topic of racism and discrimination.
- You participate in service-specific forums such as supervision, intervision, etc.
Your Profile
- Completed studies in social work, social sciences or similar (university of applied sciences or university)
- Additional training in systemic counselling, mediation, family therapy, supervision or similar, or willingness to undertake such training.
- Proven counselling and analytical competence
- Work experience in the field of racism/discrimination protection and/or in-depth knowledge of racism and its forms
- Experience in advising people in precarious life situations
- Very good communication skills and ability to reflect

Your Salary
Your gross salary for a 100% workload is expected to be between 100,000 and 125,000 Swiss francs per year.
The exact salary depends on your education and professional experience. During the selection process, we will determine your salary according to our salary guidelines. Applicants who do not yet have the required knowledge or experience may be classified below the salary range in individual cases. Additionally, AOZ pays allowances for work at night and on Sundays. Further salary development depends on your performance and AOZ’s financial possibilities.
