Azure Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and continuously improve modern and scalable data solutions in the cloud
Design and implement end-to-end data architectures, especially data lakehouse and analytics architectures
Migrate existing data warehouse solutions to modern Microsoft Cloud Analytics platforms and support their further development
Develop and operate ETL/ELT pipelines, monitoring and automated solutions to ensure data quality, consistency and performance
Scale and optimise data platforms as well as define requirements for architecture, security, governance and test strategies and implement them together with business units, IT and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
Completed studies in computer science, data engineering or a comparable technical field (ETH/University/FH) or an equivalent qualification
Several years of practical experience in data engineering as well as in building, operating and automating data warehouse and data platforms
Solid knowledge in ETL/ELT, data warehousing and data modelling; experience with the Oracle stack is an advantage
Practical experience with cloud computing, data storage, data processing and data governance, ideally with Microsoft Fabric, as well as with data pipelines, monitoring and automation
Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style with holistic thinking, high personal responsibility and strong communication skills; knowledge of data protection, compliance and regulatory requirements as well as openness to new technologies are advantageous
