Experienced Cosmetic Formulator

Since 1988, Cosmotec SA has been a benchmark in the field of Swiss cosmetic subcontracting. Located at the foot of the Swiss Alps, our laboratory puts its expertise and modern equipment at the service of numerous brands, offering them quality products that enhance the "Made in Switzerland" label.

To strengthen our R&D team, we are looking for an experienced Cosmetic Formulator with solid experience in cosmetic product development.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and create formulas in the R&D laboratory according to specifications,
• Propose suitable technical directions for various developments,
• Select raw materials taking into account technical, regulatory, client and environmental requirements,
• Conduct and monitor tests as well as stability and compatibility trials,
• Analyse results and make necessary adjustments in case of formulation, stability or compatibility issues,
• Prepare submissions and client samples in collaboration with the relevant departments,
• Establish operating procedures and manufacturing specifications,
• Participate in the industrial transfer of formulas and provide your technical expertise during initial productions,
• Provide technical support to Quality Control and other departments when necessary,
• Participate in supplier meetings, trade fairs and training sessions,
• Share your experience and technical knowledge and contribute to the dynamism of the R&D team.

Your profile

• University degree in chemistry, biology, physics or equivalent training,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in formulation, cosmetic product development and subcontracting,
• Proven experience in independently managing developments and their industrial transfer,
• Knowledge of Coptis software,
• Excellent knowledge of raw materials, active ingredients, excipients and dosage forms,
• Good knowledge of the cosmetic regulatory environment,
• Autonomy, rigour and analytical skills,
• Creativity, curiosity and a taste for innovation,
• Team spirit and ease in collaborating with different departments,
• Fluency in French and English.
