Modern networks must be fast, secure and highly available. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who operates, develops and connects complex LAN and WLAN environments with modern platform technologies to create holistic IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and further development of sophisticated enterprise networks
Operation and optimisation of highly available LAN and WLAN infrastructures
Planning and realisation of modern network architectures
Implementation of routing, switching and wireless concepts
Engineering of network environments based on Cisco and Huawei technologies
Integration of network, security and server infrastructure into stable overall solutions
Participation in modernisation, migration and transformation projects
Support of virtualised data centre environments and modern HCI platforms
Assistance with solutions around Nutanix, Huawei and Veeam
Analysis of complex performance, connectivity and infrastructure issues
Handling demanding support cases at 1st and 2nd level
Systematic troubleshooting and sustainable error resolution
Optimisation of monitoring, availability and operational processes
Creation and further development of technical architecture and operational documentation
Continuous evaluation of new network and infrastructure technologies
Qualifications:
Education in computer science or comparable technical qualification
Practical experience in operating and engineering LAN and WLAN environments
Good fundamentals in routing, switching and network architectures
Ideally knowledge of Cisco or Huawei
Interest in modern data centre and platform technologies
Initial experience with virtualisation, HCI, Nutanix or Veeam is an advantage
Understanding of the interrelations between network, compute, storage and backup
Interest in automation and modern network methods such as NetDevOps
Analytical and structured approach to technical challenges
High willingness to learn and motivation to continuously expand one’s own technology portfolio
Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style
Enjoyment of teamwork and technical knowledge exchange
