Role:
A modern workplace stands and falls with well-orchestrated devices. As a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer, you take on the technical architecture of the workplace platform based on Microsoft 365 (M365). With Microsoft Intune and PowerShell, you shape an endpoint management strategy that scales and runs largely automatically. Your decisions set the technical standard for operations and projects.
Responsibilities:
You design automated processes for enrolment, provisioning, and the entire device lifecycle, relying on Windows Autopilot.
You define configuration profiles, compliance policies, and security baselines and derive binding protection standards for Windows and mobile devices.
Furthermore, you modernise packaging and deployment of software and automate recurring administrative tasks via scripts and Graph interfaces.
You plan update and patch strategies for Windows clients and ensure controlled implementation.
In addition, you lead migration and lifecycle projects and track complex incidents to their root cause.
You also evaluate new endpoint technologies, test them in proof of concepts, and keep best practices up to date.
Qualifications:
You bring many years of experience in modern workplace or endpoint engineering as well as solid know-how in Windows 10/11.
You have planned Intune architectures for demanding client and mobile environments and are proficient in MDM, MAM, and device enrolment.
Windows Update for Business, update rings, and endpoint hardening are familiar territory for you.
Additionally, you have strong scripting skills in PowerShell and ideally practical experience with Microsoft Graph and API-based automations.
You confidently administer Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive and understand the dependencies between identity, endpoint management, and security.
Moreover, you approach problems analytically and persistently, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and write fluently in German, while English technical discussions come easily to you.
