Junior Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d)

You support the security team in analysing and handling security-relevant incidents and learn to identify and correctly assess potential threats.
You contribute to the further development of detection rules, security use cases, and other detection mechanisms.
You analyse alerts, investigate anomalies, and assist in optimising detection quality.
You work on the further development of modern security platforms and support the automation of detection and response processes.
You create and optimise playbooks, scripts, and automations to make recurring security tasks more efficient.
You gain insight into various areas of cyber security, such as threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and data loss prevention.
You work closely with experienced security specialists and other technical teams, continuously building your know-how.
You assist in analysing security incidents and help derive concrete improvement measures for the security landscape from incidents.
You contribute your own ideas and have the opportunity to gradually develop further in specialised security topics.
Qualifications:
You have completed training, studies, or a comparable qualification in computer science, cyber security, or a related technical field.
You have gained initial practical experience in IT, cyber security, system administration, networking, or a comparable environment – for example through internships, projects, or initial professional experience.
You are interested in security operations, modern attack methods, and how IT environments can be effectively protected.
Basic knowledge in areas such as SIEM, detection engineering, incident response, cloud security, or threat intelligence is an advantage.
You have initial experience with scripting or automation and want to further develop your skills in this area.
Ideally, you have already had contact with modern security or cloud platforms.
A security certification or corresponding further training is a plus but not a requirement.
What matters to us is not that you already know everything, but that you are technically curious and eager to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics.
