Your tasks

In this key role, you will lead a small accounting team and be responsible for proper financial accounting as well as accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, half-year and annual financial statements. You will also coordinate Group Accounting and the consolidation processes of our corporate group according to the respective legal and internal group requirements. In doing so, you will actively participate in operational accounting and ensure high data and financial statement quality. At the same time, you will coordinate the accounting activities of our country organisations, ensure uniform standards and manage external partners, especially for the accounting of our French subsidiary SBB Cargo France. You will be responsible for intercompany reconciliations, internal control systems, payment transactions, accounts receivable management, VAT and tax declarations, transport invoicing as well as central SAP VIM processes. Together with the Head of Controlling, you will ensure consistent financial data and reliable reporting and be the central contact person for the CFO as well as the auditors on accounting, financial statement and valuation matters. Furthermore, you will develop our accounting processes further and drive their standardisation and digitalisation. As a leader, you will specifically develop your team, promote collaboration across countries and departments, and create an environment where responsibility is taken and knowledge is shared.

Your profile

You have a higher education in finance and accounting or a degree in business administration or finance and bring several years of experience in accounting in an internationally active company. Leadership experience is an advantage. You are confident in financial statements, have sound knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER and OR, and are proficient in general ledger accounting, intercompany reconciliations, internal control systems, payment transactions as well as VAT and tax matters. Confident use of SAP is part of your professional routine; experience with SAP VIM and in optimising financial processes complete your profile. You work precisely, structured and solution-oriented and are happy to get involved operationally yourself. At the same time, you think beyond your own area of responsibility and understand how to coordinate accounting processes across several companies. Very good German and English skills are required; knowledge of French and/or Italian is an advantage.
