As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you take responsibility for a productive container platform based on Kubernetes and OpenShift. The focus is on stable, secure operation in a regulated environment. At the same time, you help shape the platform technically and automate operational processes. You are allowed to evaluate and introduce new cloud-native topics. Interaction with development teams shapes your daily work.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the stable and secure operation of the container-based platform.
You support application teams with deployment and optimisation of containerised applications.
This also includes fault analysis for performance and stability issues along with sustainable resolution.
You standardise and automate operational processes step by step.
Furthermore, you help build solutions for monitoring, logging, and observability.
In addition, you evaluate new technologies in the container environment and ensure compliance with security and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
You have already operated or expanded container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
You are proficient in administering Linux as an operating system.
Initial experience with GitOps and deployment tools such as Helm or ArgoCD is helpful.
Furthermore, you are familiar with Infrastructure as Code and enjoy automating, for example with Ansible.
You understand network and security concepts in the container context in principle.
Additionally, you solve problems methodically, value teamwork across departments, and express yourself clearly in German. Regular on-call duties are acceptable to you.
