Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader as Civil Engineering / Road Construction Team Leader for the technical and personnel management of an engineering team. In addition to leadership, you will be responsible for demanding infrastructure, civil engineering, and road construction projects from study through design and tendering to realisation and commissioning. You will also take responsibility for project acquisition, client care, costs, deadlines, and quality and further develop existing business relationships. An additional focus is the further development of digital planning processes with BIM as well as contributing to topics such as infrastructure management and gravel extraction planning.
Responsibilities:
Technical and personnel management of the civil engineering and road construction team as well as control of available project resources
Leadership, promotion, and technical support of civil engineers, project managers, and other specialists
Independent project management of demanding civil engineering, road construction, and infrastructure projects across all relevant project phases
Handling projects from study and preliminary design through construction and approval design to tendering, realisation, and commissioning
Overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, and resources within the projects managed and own area of responsibility
Responsibility for project acquisition, offer preparation, and contract acquisition in civil and road construction
Care and further development of long-term relationships with municipalities, cantons, public clients, and private builders
Coordination of authorities, specialist planners, contractors, utility owners, and other project participants
Further development and implementation of BIM processes in civil and infrastructure construction as well as promotion of digital project processing
Participation in the development of infrastructure management, maintenance planning, and maintenance strategies
Technical collaboration on special topics such as gravel extraction, development, and infrastructure planning
Further development of planning standards, project processes, and quality management within the department
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer BSc/MSc FH/ETH with a focus on civil engineering, transport infrastructure, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience as project manager in civil and/or road construction in the Swiss planning environment
Experience in the technical or personnel leadership of engineering and project teams
Sound knowledge of SIA planning phases, Swiss standards, and approval procedures in infrastructure and civil engineering
Experience in project acquisition, fee offers, cost and schedule management, and project controlling
Knowledge of BIM and digital planning methods in infrastructure construction, ideally with experience in their implementation
Very good German language skills spoken and written
