Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed specialist for project management and architectural implementation of demanding residential construction projects. You will accompany the further development of successful competition designs and take responsibility for their high-quality design and technically precise realisation. The focus is on independent project management, execution and detailed planning, as well as the consistent safeguarding of the architectural design concept. The position combines design skills, solid execution experience and organisational project management competence with the opportunity to actively shape diverse residential construction projects in a manageable, committed planning team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of demanding residential construction projects from the further development of the competition design to the structural realisation

• Conversion of awarded and won competition projects into execution-ready architectural concepts while maintaining the original design quality

• Responsibility for project planning, approval and execution planning across the relevant SIA service phases

• Further development of architectural design ideas considering spatial, functional, constructive and economic requirements

• Preparation and coordination of execution, working and detailed plans with special attention to high-quality constructions and materialisation

• Professional coordination of internal project staff and external specialist planners to ensure a coordinated and high-quality overall planning

• Management of project organisation as well as monitoring of deadlines, planning services and defined project goals during the planning and realisation phases

• Coordination of architectural planning with structural engineering, building services and other disciplines as well as early clarification of technical interfaces

• Development and assessment of constructive detail solutions for the precise implementation of demanding façades, building envelopes and interior fittings

• Communication and coordination with clients, authorities and project partners including preparation and leadership of planning and project meetings

• Support of construction execution in close cooperation with site management as well as handling design and technical issues during realisation

• Quality assurance of architectural implementation through review of planning documents, workshop drawings, material samples and executed components

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or an equivalent recognised university degree in architecture

• Several years of professional experience in project planning and execution planning of demanding building projects, ideally with a focus on residential construction

• Experience in further processing and realisation of architectural competitions as well as a strong interest in the connection of design, construction and structural implementation

• Sound knowledge of Swiss planning and construction processes, especially the relevant SIA service phases, building regulations and constructive requirements

• Confident handling of common CAD and digital planning tools, preferably ArchiCAD, as well as a good understanding of coordinated execution and detailed planning

• Strong architectural and design quality awareness as well as an independent, structured and responsible working style with enthusiasm for project management

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for project coordination and communication as well as teamwork, initiative and a solution-oriented approach to complex planning tasks
