Purchasing Specialist 80-100% (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF87,100 - 107,900Our client is a company in the manufacturing industry focusing on metal processing and the production of technical components. The company operates in a demanding industrial environment where reliable material supply and economical procurement processes play a central role.
Role:
In this role, you combine operational purchasing with strategic supplier and product group development, ensuring that material availability, costs, and deadlines are reliably managed.
You work closely with production, logistics, and planning, analyse purchasing and supply chain key figures, and create meaningful reports to provide transparency for operational and strategic decisions. You actively contribute both your technical understanding and your market and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
You manage operational and strategic purchasing for your area of responsibility
You are responsible for orders, scheduling, deadline monitoring, and escalations
You ensure material availability and identify cost optimisation potentials
You develop suppliers and product groups in a structured manner
You monitor procurement markets and contribute technical as well as commercial know-how
You analyse purchasing and supply chain key figures and derive appropriate measures
You coordinate closely with production, logistics, and planning
Qualifications:
You have a commercial or technical basic education; further training as a purchasing specialist with a federal certificate, technical commercial specialist with a federal certificate, or a comparable qualification is an advantage
You bring several years of experience in operational and ideally strategic purchasing
You work confidently with ERP systems and have very good Excel skills; Power BI is a plus
You possess a strong numerical understanding and work analytically and in a structured manner
You convince through negotiation skills, assertiveness, and communication strength
You work independently, reliably, and solution-oriented
