Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management, architectural planning and realisation of demanding building projects in an established Swiss architectural environment. You will independently lead interdisciplinary project teams and accompany diverse architectural projects from concept development through design to construction implementation. The focus is on technical, organisational and design project management, coordination of specialist planners and representation towards clients and contractors. The position combines demanding architectural project management with sustainable, climate-adapted construction and the development of future-proof building and usage concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and control of demanding architecture and building projects through the relevant SIA project phases

• Professional and organisational leadership of interdisciplinary project teams including task coordination, resource planning and quality assurance

• Responsibility for architectural project development from concept and design phase to execution planning

• Coordination and integration of external specialist planning services from structural engineering, building services, building physics and other special disciplines

• Representation of the architectural office towards clients, authorities, specialist planners and contractors as well as leading project and coordination meetings

• Monitoring of project deadlines, planning costs and quality requirements including milestone control and project controlling

• Handling complex technical and constructive issues considering building construction, materialisation and buildability

• Design development and quality assurance of architectural concepts across various planning and realisation phases

• Integration of sustainability and climate adaptation strategies into project planning, for example regarding material selection, energy efficiency and summer heat protection

• Coordination of building permit procedures and official clarifications considering applicable building laws and SIA standards

• Review and approval of construction project, work and execution documents regarding completeness, compliance with standards and design quality

• Close collaboration with site management and contractors to ensure quality-compliant and economical project realisation

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies ETH/FH (Bachelor or Master) or comparable recognised university qualification

• Several years of professional experience in independent project management of demanding architecture and building projects in the Swiss construction sector

• Proven experience in professional leadership of project teams and coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planning

• Sound knowledge in design, construction project planning, execution planning and constructive detail development

• Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building laws and permit procedures as well as relevant planning and realisation processes

• Experience with sustainable building concepts and climate-adapted architecture as well as confident use of common CAD and project management software

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project management, client consulting, official procedures and coordination with specialist planners and companies
