Specialist Export, Customs & Trade Compliance (m/f/d)

Role:
Due to a personnel change in the team, a specialist position in customs and trade compliance is being newly filled. In this role, you will contribute your knowledge of rules of origin, tariff classification, and export control and support various departments with demanding questions in international goods traffic. In addition to the operational day-to-day business, you will participate in the further development of processes, systems, and internal standards. Responsibilities:
You advise internal departments on questions regarding customs, export control, and trade compliance
You support the implementation of export control, sanctions, and other regulatory requirements
You contribute to the further development of international customs and compliance processes as well as cross-departmental projects
You monitor regulatory developments and support their implementation in internal processes and guidelines
You accompany audits and official inspections and participate in internal training on relevant specialist topics
You create and update guidelines, work instructions, and process documentation
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in customs, foreign trade, or trade compliance environment, ideally with further training as a foreign trade specialist, customs specialist, or comparable qualification
Sound knowledge of rules of origin, preferential law, and supplier declarations
Several years of experience with demanding customs and export topics in an internationally active company
Confident expertise in tariff classification of goods as well as in origin and preference topics
Experience with export control audits and regulatory requirements in international goods traffic
Strong IT affinity and experience with ERP, customs, or trade compliance applications
Very good German and English skills for collaboration in an international environment
Analytical understanding and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical processes
Independent and precise working style as well as convincing communication with internal and external contacts
