Role:

A strong cloud platform is created through clear principles and clean automation. As a Senior Cloud Engineer: Microsoft Azure, you shape the architecture of a business-critical Microsoft Azure environment and develop it technically further. Standards, governance, and security bear your signature. In complex disruptions, you take on the technical leadership and keep an overview of all layers. You critically evaluate new Microsoft cloud technologies and introduce them purposefully.

Responsibilities:

• You design scalable and highly available architectures for compute, storage, networking, and central platform services.

• You conceive governance, management, and security structures based on Azure Landing Zones.

• You automate deployments with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as with Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell, and establish standardised processes.

• Furthermore, you are responsible for identity and access concepts with RBAC, Enterprise Applications, and Microsoft Entra ID.

• You optimise Windows 365 as well as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and integrate both seamlessly into the Microsoft cloud.

• Additionally, you define monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery concepts and continuously optimise performance and costs.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud and Microsoft Infrastructure Engineering.

• You master peering, routing, VPN, private endpoints, and virtual networks even in complex scenarios.

• You possess in-depth knowledge of identity topics around Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and app registrations.

• Moreover, you bring solid practical experience with subscription structures, cloud governance, and security concepts.

• Observability with Log Analytics, alerting, and Azure Monitor is part of your regular repertoire.

• You are also well acquainted with hybrid infrastructures with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 (M365) and derive clear architectural decisions from interconnected dependencies.
