Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you design individual IT solutions and ensure that complex network and system landscapes are operated stably, securely, and efficiently. You are responsible for analysing, planning, and optimising IT infrastructures and implementing demanding requirements with high technical competence. You manage the operation and further development of network components and systems in the data centre environment and ensure reliable service availability. As a senior professional, you contribute your experience to establish standards and best practices and make well-founded technical decisions. Through your proactive approach, you play a crucial role in ensuring that IT solutions are implemented precisely and with high quality.
Responsibilities:
You plan and implement complex network infrastructures with switches, WLAN, and firewalls.
In this role, you define locations for access points including radio field illumination and capacity planning.
As a network engineer, you configure switch networks and commission them.
You build redundant network connections and develop them further to increase availability.
In this role, you configure firewalls, access controls, and network segmentation to secure the environment.
You analyse and resolve WLAN and LAN faults on-site at the customer and ensure security during ongoing operations.
Qualifications:
Completed vocational training in IT.
Several years of professional experience in the network environment at senior level.
Solid, several years of practical experience with WLAN and LAN infrastructures as well as WLAN security.
Very good knowledge in configuring and administering switches and firewalls (Cisco and Fortinet).
Confident handling of network monitoring, ideally with PRTG.
Service-oriented personality, resident in Switzerland and at least 25 years old.
Fluent in German.
