Role:
You are responsible for planning, operating, and further developing network security solutions with a clear focus on modern NGFW technologies. In this position, you lead migrations from legacy systems to the target architecture and advise on projects and architectures – internally, group-wide, and with customers. You operate and manage the entire network security infrastructure, including web proxy solutions, load balancers with WAF, on-premises and cloud-based firewalls, as well as legacy firewalls. In case of disruptions, you systematically analyse the causes and resolve them sustainably – pragmatically, collaboratively, and with a good dose of humour.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for planning, operating, and further developing network security solutions with a focus on modern NGFW technologies
You lead migrations from legacy systems to the target architecture
You advise and support projects and architectures internally, group-wide, and with customers
You operate and manage the network security infrastructure, including web proxy, load balancers with WAF, on-premises and cloud-based firewalls, as well as legacy firewalls
Additionally, you analyse and resolve disruptions in the network security infrastructure
Qualifications:
You bring several years of IT professional experience and work confidently with firewalls, proxies, and VPNs
You have extensive experience with modern NGFW solutions; a corresponding certification is desirable
Ideally, you have further training in the network field with a focus on security (e.g. CCNP Enterprise or equivalent)
You possess broad knowledge beyond the network area (e.g. data centre, LAN, WLAN, core)
You are a problem-solving, pragmatic person with a pronounced collaborative and customer-oriented working style
You bring a good dose of humour and enjoy working in a team
