Project Manager Structural Engineering (m/f/d)

Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager: Structural Engineering / Building Construction for the independent handling and management of demanding structural projects. The project spectrum ranges from renovations and high-quality buildings to exposed concrete structures and excavation pits and their securing and is occasionally supplemented by tasks in the infrastructure sector. You will develop economical and technically convincing structural solutions, lead project teams and coordinate collaboration with architects, specialist planners, clients and contractors. Modern planning methods such as BIM/VDC as well as automated calculation and planning processes form an important part of the project work.
Responsibilities:
Independent management and handling of demanding building construction projects in structural engineering
Development and optimisation of economical structural and construction concepts for new builds and renovations
Execution and responsibility for structural calculations, dimensioning and structural verifications
Planning and dimensioning of constructions in reinforced concrete, steel and other relevant structural materials
Handling technically demanding renovations, exposed concrete structures and special solutions
Planning and structural assessment of excavations, excavation pit securing, foundations and geotechnical interfaces
Leadership and professional coordination of engineers, designers and project staff
Coordination of structural planning with architecture, building services, geotechnics and other specialist disciplines
Consultation and direct exchange with clients, architects and contractors
Accompanying projects from the concept and design phase through to tendering and execution
Application and further development of digital planning methods such as BIM/VDC as well as optimisation and automation of recurring engineering processes
Ensuring planning and dimensioning according to the relevant SIA standards and Swiss structural regulations
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer ETH or FH
Several years of professional experience in structural engineering and structural planning
Experience in project management as well as independent handling of complex structural tasks
Sound knowledge in statics, dimensioning, concrete construction as well as excavation pits and their securing
Very good knowledge of current SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Experience with BIM/VDC, digital planning processes or engineering automation is an advantage
Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
