Role:
Networks today are only as secure as the architecture behind them. This is exactly where you come in as a Firewall & Network Engineer, combining cyber security with networking into well-thought-out overall solutions. Modern approaches such as Zero Trust and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) are part of your toolkit. With your experience, you are the contact person for tricky cases and significantly shape the technical direction.
Responsibilities:
You design security and network architectures, implement them, and document everything comprehensibly.
You independently manage ICT projects and changes from the initial idea to go-live.
Additionally, you develop standards, best practices, and the roadmap for security and network.
You expand the portfolio of managed security services, assessments, and awareness formats.
Furthermore, you conduct technical reviews, risk analyses, and handle demanding escalations.
You are also a sparring partner for sales, presales, and internal teams and support trainees with your know-how.
Qualifications:
A completed ICT education forms your foundation. Ideally, you have completed a higher vocational education or an equivalent qualification.
You have several years of engineering experience in networking and security.
You are proficient with firewall systems, switching, WLAN, VPN, and segmentation.
Furthermore, you are familiar with Zero Trust and SASE from implementation, preferably also with solutions from specialised providers.
You are familiar with customer projects, technical standards, and precise documentation. You tackle tasks independently, keep an overview, and place the customers’ concerns at the centre.
You also impress with excellent German, and you confidently handle technical discussions in English.
