System Engineer - Linux (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management: Building, operating, and continuously optimising complex system environments with a strong focus on availability, security, and performance
Process Optimisation: Further development and adaptation of existing client environments and processes to ensure future-proof solutions
Project Participation: Involvement in planning and implementing new solutions in close cooperation with ICT system architects and project managers
Systems Engineering: Taking on systems engineering tasks in the relevant specialist areas
Technology Deployment: Continuous development through the use of new technologies, especially in the areas of cloud and Kubernetes
Qualifications:
Education and Professional Experience: Completed studies in computer science (University of Applied Sciences, ETH or University) and at least 4 years of professional experience in systems engineering with a focus on Linux
Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems, orchestration and automation (e.g. Ansible), as well as server virtualisation (e.g. VMware vSphere) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Podman)
Scripting and System Management: Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash Shell, Python) and with server, storage, and backup solutions
Databases and Monitoring: Practical experience in managing databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and experience with monitoring tools (e.g. CheckMK)
Language Skills: Business fluent German is essential
